JUNGLE EXTREME CAMPING:
4 days - 3 nights Pacaya Samiria (National Reserve)
Day 1: Iquitos- Pacaya Samiria
Departure in the morning from your accommodation or the airport by private car or minivan (depending on the size of the group), we will move south for 1 hour 45 minutes to reach the town of Nauta. While we are heading there we will give you a brief description of Iquitos, its surroundings and its main attractions. Departure by private boat from the port of Nauta, continuing upstream for 3 hours, enjoying the beautiful scenery and the possibility of observing river dolphins (gray and pink), herons and turtles, among other species. Arrival in the community of Santo Domingo, our entry point to the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Here we will obtain our entry permit. We will continue boating for 30 minutes until we reach the community of Buenos Aires. Expedition hike through the primary jungle. We will enjoy nature in search of wildlife. Night walk in search of spiders, snakes, lizards, frogs and rodents, listening to the different sounds of nocturnal animals that inhabit the jungle.Accommodation in typical house in the community of Buenos Aires.
Day 2:
Breakfast. Exit in a small-small by a small river observing several species of monkeys, turtles, birds and perhaps even the tapir, capibara, sajino and huángana. Arrival at the camping area and accommodation. Lunch Hike along paths along a Cocha (lake). Possibility of observing nocturnal birds along the promenade. Dinner and accommodation in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.
Day 3:
Breakfast. Bird watching and trekking to another lake. A canoe ride, piranha fishing. Otters live in the lake and are often observed. Typical lunch. Walk through the forest to learn about medicinal plants and their applications. We will learn to cut and drink from the "rope of water", a vine that can be useful as a survival technique. Dinner and overnight
Day 4:
Breakfast. Departure by boat to visit a last lagoon where you can see prehistoric birds such as Hoatzin and Anima Cornuta. Return to the Buenos Aires community. Lunch Return to the city of Nauta. Transfer to Iquitos.
